Great Online Birding Resources:
Where to Learn More and Do More

American Birding Association

A nonprofit group dedicated to birders and birding in North America. This group "...provides leadership to birders by increasing their knowledge, skills, and enjoyment of birding.

National Audubon Society

A group that "...protects birds and the places they need, today and tomorrow, throughout the Americas using science, advocacy, education, and on-the-ground conservation."

All About Birds

This website is run by the (amazing) Cornell Lab of Ornithology. This is a comprehensive guide to birds and birding. Want to know about a bird? It's in there.

eBird.org

This is a worldwide citizen science project. It allows birders to record which birds they've seen in a location and also access the bird lists from other bird watchers around the world. This is a great place to check before you head out to a new spot to go birding.
